Florida Writer’s Association has a long history of providing resources and connections to writers. Founded in 2001 and amassing over 1000 members, their ‘writers helping writers’ attitude has inspired and supported many artists to follow their passion.
The Manatee branch is just one of many, but it is thriving. The critique groups offered give writers a chance to expose their work to a test audience of other writers and get opinions and advice from others who are working on the same problems. All experience levels are welcome, from published authors to first time hobbyists.
Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm and the first and third Saturdays at 4:00 pm at Village Voices.
